Truth.

Let us come to the aid of those who are in danger, be friends of those whom the world ignores. Let us give our support to just causes, join all those who defend truth and oppose all those who scandalize the weak or lead them into error.

“The Lord must increase I (ego) must decrease.” This is an absolute truth and the one who understands this, possesses the secret of perfect love.

Truth is God Himself; he who upholds the truth, knows the truth, that is, the law he has to follow. He also acts in truth, that is, he accomplishes his duty. By the fact that he is true in his thoughts and in his conduct, he also speaks the truth and inspires it in others.

Humble souls live in the light of truth. Their pious distrust of themselves will protect them from the illusions which spring from pride and and the passions. Love will have no difficulty in entering their hearts. They will welcome it and will give their love and service in return. In this way they will constantly tend to perfection.

Empowerment of women - this was the one aim of Blessed Mary of the Passion in serving the less fortunate that led her to open educational institutions, health-care services and set up small income-generating works for women. We respond to the cry of the poor, the oppressed and the marginalized, especially the women through the same services today. We work for the integrity of creation through non-violence and eco-justice, sharing God's gifts with all.

Her farsightedness in establishing a printing press in the 19th century itself, to publish The Annals of the Institute as a means of sharing news and views with the wider public has set the trend for us to utilize the potent means of the media to communicate the compassionate face of God to all peoples thereby promoting communion and human relationships.
