Let us humbly follow every good example and never lose an opportunity of profiting from those who can help us. We too are living in difficult days when indifference and carelessness are general; let us unfurl the standard of the Holy Name of Jesus, let us encourage others to love it and draw strength ourselves from a devotion which comes to us from the Gospel, from Jesus Himself who said: “Whatever you shall ask the Father in my name, He will give it to you”.

If our lives consist of poverty, prayer and penance, the souls with whom we come in contact, will return to God. Little by little, they will feel a desire to imitate us, and we shall then persuade them to lead a life like ours, or perhaps, more perfect than ours. We can never tell what results will follow our fidelity or infidelity. We should therefore, set the good example and learn to profit from that which is given us by others.

We should courageously imitate our Lord who forgave his executioners. We must strive to be perfect as our Heavenly Father is perfect. He extends His goodness even to those who outrage Him; we should do likewise.

Never forget that evil, like good, lives after us. Bad example may have consequences which we cannot foresee and which very frequently outlive us. In the same way, our fidelity may be perpetuated in other souls long after we are gone.

Let us remember, that we ought to be always shining light to the young girls and children under our care. In every house we shall have opportunities of edifying them, for we shall have around us children of orphanages, of playgrounds, of catechism classes, of day schools or boarding schools.
Let us never forget that our influence on souls will be greater and more solid only if we do not seek ant return for our efforts, but work solely for love of God, our creator.
